Brun­voll RDT 2100 - The Next Level

With the new RDT 2100, Brun­voll AS ex­pands its port­fo­lio of Rim Driven Thrusters (RDT) to up to 1.600 kW and a pro­peller dia­meter of 2,1 m. This in­nov­a­tion es­tab­lishes Brun­voll as a full-range sup­plier with propul­sion and man­oeuv­ring sys­tems in the next higher power class of SOVs.

Not only for this reason the Dan­ish ship­ping com­pany ES­VAGT has cur­rently re­peatedly se­lec­ted Brun­voll as a sup­plier for its Green Fuel SOVs and the new RDT 2100 was part of the pack­age.

In the RDT, thruster, pro­peller and PM motor form a com­pact and already very quiet unit. If whis­per-quiet op­er­a­tion is needed, SI Schiff­s­tech­nik can offer the RDT with an elast­ic­ally moun­ted double tun­nel. The fur­ther noise re­duc­tion of 15-19 dB(A) is es­pe­cially in­ter­est­ing for re­search ves­sels and yachts. SI Schiff­s­tech­nik has spe­cial ex­pert­ise in the field of noise-re­duced thrusters and is avail­able for pro­ject dis­cus­sions.

In Feb­ru­ary 2023, SI Schiff­s­tech­nik has star­ted its busi­ness as ex­clus­ive dis­trib­utor for Hamilton­Jet in the DACH re­gion, thus ex­pand­ing its port­fo­lio in the field of propul­sion sys­tems.

Hamilton­Jet pi­on­eered the de­vel­op­ment of the mod­ern wa­ter­jet sys­tem over 70 years ago, ad­apt­ing tech­no­logy de­signed to suit all man­ner of in­shore and off­shore ves­sels.
